Solution-focused Therapy or Solution-focused Coaching (SFT) is a systematic approach to helping anyone with impasse, to identify the solution and implement it. SFT is the result of research and conceptualization by Steve De Shazer, Insoo Kim Berg, and Bill O Hanlon. The concept arose from Milton Erikson’s work and Brief Strategy Therapy. SFT focuses on solutions, more than the problems or the complaints.
